Not veterinary or medical advice
Nothing on Pawology is veterinary, medical, or professional advice. Scores, warnings, and recommendations are generated automatically from published product data and do not account for your individual pet's full health history, existing conditions, or how they react to a specific food. Always consult a licensed veterinarian before changing your pet's diet, and immediately if your pet shows signs of illness, an allergic reaction, or distress — do not wait on anything you read here.
How scores are produced
Every score is computed by an automated algorithm from ingredient lists, nutrient values, and label data that third parties (primarily Open Pet Food Facts, a crowd-sourced database) have submitted for that product. Pawology does not manufacture, sell, test, or independently verify any product. See how scoring works for the full method.
Source data is often incomplete, outdated, or entered by volunteers and may contain errors. A low score can mean the product is poorly formulated, or simply that its label data is incomplete — the score breakdown and confidence rating on each product page tell you which. A high score is not a guarantee that a product is safe for your specific pet.
No warranty
Pawology is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all liability for decisions made based on information shown on this site. Full terms are in the Terms of Service.
Reporting an error
If you believe a product's data or score is wrong, contact us at info@pawology.de and we'll review it. Corrections to source data belong with Open Pet Food Facts, and we'll help route them there where relevant.
